Wedding Cushions

Cushions Galore, May 2012 -- Wedding Cushions

May 2nd 2012

Hello and welcome to new subscribers in May.

Since my last newsletter I think here in England, UK we have had the wettest April. Although Spring is here due to the lower temperatures and the rain many of the flowers and trees are just coming into bud. Hopefully May will see the sun returning and the flowers in full bloom.

Spring is popular time for celebrations like weddings. Cushions have a part to play on this important day. Wedding ring cushions or pillows carried by pageboys hold the most treasured gift of the rings. These can be made plain and simple or really ornate. If there is a theme to the wedding then there is usually one aspect of the theme that can be used for this.

In some services the bride and groom have to kneel down. Cushions could also be made and personalised with their initials and the date for this purpose and then a lovely reminder afterwards.

Back at the reception bunting could be hung up enhancing the colour used on the bridesmaid dresses or of the wedding theme.

This is a good time to think ahead to any celebrations you may be having and decide whether you need to make a few items for this. Whether it is a wedding, birthday, anniversary or a party for friends.

Enjoy!

New pages this month

Time again has run away from me, I do this website in my spare time and my other work has been very busy. I have done a page about Spring and the celebrations that happen in that season.

I have added a few more pictures to my folding a quillow page and the page on Easter.

Coming up next time

My next newsletter will be July 2012. I hope to have done another page of a different patchwork design. A page about Summer and some more outdoor cushions.

Enjoy making your cushions.
